As part of Farmington Public Schools' commitment to providing opportunities for every student, the International Baccalaureate Programme offers a challenging and enriching pathway that prepares students to lead locally, compete globally, and make meaningful contributions to their communities.
This year’s IBDP Art Exhibition showcased the powerful work of six senior artists.
As part of the IB Diploma Programme Visual Arts, a rigorous two-year course, these students explored artistic practices across cultures while developing their own unique voices. For this exhibition, each student curated a body of work, complete with written reflections and a curatorial rationale, offering insight into their ideas, intentions, and creative journeys. Their willingness to explore and share meaningful themes like identity and mental health makes this showcase especially powerful.
The evening reception was an exciting celebration, marking for some their very first art show, and for others, their final one.
We’re proud to recognize Tania Chavez Guzman, Onyinyechi Evuleocha, and Morgan Reaves for earning honors in the Scholastic Art Awards, including honorable mentions, Silver Keys, and Gold Keys. Tania also received a National Silver Key for her watercolor piece “Ignorance is Bliss.”
We couldn’t be prouder of these talented students and all they’ve accomplished.
